CHICOPEE - Nellie E. (Grabon) Ondrick, 90, entered into eternal rest on Saturday August 12, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield. Nellie was born in Holyoke on October 15, 1915 the daughter of the late Piotr and Franciszka (Guzdek) Grabon. She was raised in Holyoke before moving to Chicopee in 1936. Nellie was an avid gardener and also enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She was a communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus in Chicopee. Nellie was predeceased by her husband, Stephen F. Ondrick, Sr. She is survived by her three sons, Stephen F. Ondrick, Jr., of South Weymouth, Edwin P. Ondrick, Sr., of Westfield, and Robert G. Ondrick of Chicopee; a daughter, Angela J. Ondrick of Cromwell, CT; two sisters, Anna Zebrowski and Adele Grabon, both of Holyoke, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin on Wednesday August16th at 10:30 a.m. from the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. in the Basilica of St, Stanislaus, 566 Front St., with Rites of Committal to follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, 800 Montgomery St., all in Chicopee. Nellie's family will receive family and friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chicopee VNA or The Basilica of St. Stanislaus."
